sceptical about putting on extra pounds to acquire the curves for the
role.

been a bikini model and maintained a size zero. However, for her role in
"Nasha", director Amit Saxena told her to gain weight.
"I
was sceptical before going ahead with it but when I read the script, I
thought I would not justify the role unless I don't gain some weight to
fit the bill," Poonam told.
Produced by Aditya Bhatia, "Nasha" is an adult film and Poonam gave up her disciplined diet routines and gorged on junk food.
"Yes, we have received threat calls. Somebody called my brother and said, 'Ask your sister to stay out of this topic'. The threat call was received by my brother and not me," Mallika told reporters Monday during the press conference of "Dirty Politics".
Malika, one of the most outspoken actresses in filmdom, says one has to play dirty politics to survive in the country.
"Every actor or actress is a victim of politics. Every day you have to do politics. To survive in India, you have to do politics. I have played both dirty and good politics. The dirtier the better," said the "Murder" fame actress.
Being directed by K.C. Bokadia, Mallika is paired with Om Puri in the film.
"It's a very bold role and I am not trying to change my image with the film. I am very happy with my image. The film is inspired from Bhanwari Devi. It's based on a scandal," said the actress known for her bold role in "Khwahish", where she had 17 kissing scenes with co-star Himanshu Malik.
The title of the film sounds similar to the title of Vidya Balan-starrer "The Dirty Picture", but Mallika says no one can compete with the former.
"She is a very fine actress, I can't compete with her. She is a great actress and I take inspiration from her."

NEW DELHI: A 42-year-old
woman from Jaipur has alleged that she was abducted, beaten up and raped
by three men who later dumped her from a moving car in Kalkaji on Wednesday.
A case of gang rape has been registered and an Agra lawyer has already been detained. Three police teams have been raiding several places in Faridabad, Agra, Mathura, Vrindavan and Jaipur to nab the other two men. The victim claimed she knew the lawyer, whom she has named as main accused, for over five years as they both had the same guru. She also claimed that she had gone to Mathura-Vrindavan on December 22 for spiritual healing and was returning home via Delhi on Wednesday afternoon.
"She has alleged that the accused met her in Mathura-Vrindavan and offered to drop her to Delhi. She was instead taken to a flat at an unidentified location where two other men were waiting. The trio threatened her with a knife and raped her," said an officer, quoting from her statement.
The woman also alleged that they even hurt her with the knife when she resisted.
"Later, the trio forced her inside their car and drove down to Delhi. They dumped her in Kalkaji around 9pm," the officer said.
The victim asked a passerby where she was and borrowed a phone to call up a woman in Lajpat Nagar, who then informed cops about the incident.
The victim was sent to AIIMS for medical examination and a case was registered. Her call records were scanned, too, and lawyer's location was traced. By Thursday morning, a team had reached Agra and detained the accused.
But there were counter claims made by the lawyer that got the cops confused. He alleged that he was being framed and that the victim had tried to file a similar case in Agra a year ago which had not materialized as the local cops had not found the allegations true.
Cops are also probing if there is any property dispute between the victim and the lawyer.

Police burst a sex racket in Film Nagar, center of film production activity here. Police raided an apartment on Wednesday night and arrested a broker and three women. The women are believed to be from West Bengal. Police said that broker Prasad is from Visakhapatnam and that he had brought several women few days ago.
Police said Prasad was planning to bring more women for the New Year eve. On information, they raided the house and arrested the accused, said police. Police inspector has said that the girls were in their twenties and added that the broker had admitted to be doing the business since six months.
