Hyderabad, March 5: Police were on their toes when anonymous callers claimed bombs were placed at Bhongir in Nalgonda district and in Hyderabad.Four persons tried to enter the Bhadradri theatre in Bhongir with some bags. Police, who grew suspicious, asked them what they were carrying in the bags. When they asked them to show the contents of the bags, three of the four ran away from the spot. However, the police managed to catch the fourth one, who was identified as resident of Uttar Pradesh. Police took him into custody and were trying to trace the other three. As news spread that an attempt was made by some mysterious persons to plant bombs in the theatre, there was scare in the town. However, police bomb squad which thoroughly checked the theatre found that there were no bombs.Meanwhile, an anonymous caller said a bomb was planted in the Aids Society office in Kothi in Hyderabad. Bomb squad conducted a search and found none. Police, who have been thoroughly searching suspicious persons, were finding things other than bombs. In Secunderabad Railway Station, police found Ganja from three persons traveling by Rajkot Express. The trio was taken into custody.It may be recalled that terrorist Maqbool and his accomplice Imran Khan were brought by the NIA sleuths to Hyderabad for questioning. After the custody period ended, they were produced in the court for return to the Tihar jail. The court sent the terrorists to judicial remand till March 13. The NIA officials filed a petition in the court seeking issue of a PT warrant in connection with the cases filed against Syed Maqbool in the past.Meanwhile, the Special Court has issued non-bailable warrants against Riaz Bhaktal and nine others in connection with the recent bomb blasts in Dilsukhnagar.
